About Library:

The Library of R. K. Talreja College, formerly known as the Late Smt. Parvati Parsaram Library, is one of the oldest college libraries in Thane District. Established with the college in 1961, it has served generations of students, faculty, and staff for 64 years, fostering academic growth and holistic development. Fully automated since 2009 with SOUL software, it offers an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) for easy searches of its 80,000+ books, journals, CDs, manuscripts, maps, and more—vital for teaching, learning, and research.

Renowned for its Sindhi books collection in Arabic and Devanagari scripts, it attracts visitors from Pakistan and India, alongside resources in Hindi, Marathi, and English, aligning with the National Education Policy's inclusive focus. It also provides competitive exam books, co-working spaces, high-speed internet, printing, and the University of Mumbai's "Book-Bank" Scheme benefiting 500+ students yearly. Special services ensure accessibility for differently-abled students, supporting equity and community engagement.
