The Botany department is one of the first departments in R. K. Talreja College. The department boasts of the first Undergraduate, Post Graduate, and Ph. D centres in Thane district. The department comprises of accomplished teaching staff and a well trained non-teaching staff. It also has a well equipped Research Laboratory, Tissue Culture Laboratory, Post Graduate and Undergraduate Laboratory. Since inception the department has maintained 100 % passing percentage at UG and PG level. Excursions, Field visits, Industrial visit, Hands-on training workshops, Seminars etc. are few of the activities undertaken by the department along with the academics. The Well maintained beautiful garden having Medicinal, Fruiting, flowering plants and the Vegetation in the College is the result of the hard work and efforts of teaching , non-teaching and the students.
