The Department offers a Major in History at Undergraduate and Post Graduate Levels. We offer various courses in modern and medieval history, research methodology, archaeology, numismatics, art history that enables a holistic understanding of the subject.
The Department benefitted immensely from the deep knowledge of the eminent scholars like Prof. S Barve, Dr. M V Kale, Dr. G T Sawant, Dr. H S Gorge, Dr. L Y Aucharmal and Prof. Rajesh Sharma.
Every year the History department organises field visits to various historical sites and museums, guest lectures and ancient scripts’ workshops that enhances the learning experience of our students.
